Indie Author Day: Faye Holt


Born in Alberta, Calgarian Faye Reineberg Holt loves the stories and photos of Western Canada‘s past. She has authored 13 books and co-authored an Alberta travel book. Her newest work is Amazing Alberta, as well as chapters on Nellie McClung and Annie Gale in Footsteps of the Giants. Her other books include Settling In: Early Homes of Western Canada; Canada’s Rocky Mountains; Alberta: A History in Photographs; Prairie Twins: Alberta & Saskatchewan; Awed, Amused & Alarmed, Fairs, Rodeos, Regattas; Sharing the Good Times: Prairie Women’s Joys & Pleasures; Homemade Fun: Games and Pastimes of the Early Prairie; Monarchs of the Fields; Threshing; and Out of the Flames: Fires & Fire Fighting on the Canadian Prairies. A former high school teacher, she has presented at writing, history and teaching-related conferences and in countless schools and libraries. An editor, she has also written poems, articles, interviews and short stories.
