Indie Author Day: Pam Larocque

Pamela Larocque began her professional life as a Social Worker at the age of 22.  After taking on her greatest role in life as a mother, life as she knew it changed forever.  You can read about this in her first book, “Ryken’s Journey”.  In this autobiography, she shares about her journey into motherhood and her family’s loss of their second son Ryken who was born with a rare genetic condition known in the medical world as Non-Ketotic Hyperglycinemia.

Now she refers to herself as a Life Purpose Mentor while she continues to write about her grief and her quest to find joy in her heart again.  Presently she is in the process of self-publishing her second book “Chasing Rainbows.”  It is the sequel to Ryken’s Journey and her own journey traveling in the unfamiliar world of genetics and the land of grief.

Pamela feels it is part of her own mission here to shine some light on the world of pregnancy and infant loss while bringing an awareness and hope to those who read the words that she has written.  She has also begun writing her third book in this grief and hope series called “Finding Me Again.”
